The architecture profession is globally transferable; a laptop and CAD software levels the playing ground worldwide. After 30 years of construction training, an Architect can design for any climate and can quickly understand any building material. As we work abroad, it has been part of our training as foreign businessmen to give back to the country we are working in. Our model is to support the local architecture community by creating a company culture which advances an international skillset. Our plan in Iskandar is to create a Malaysian-owned company with profit sharing for all staff. There will be coordination with the local University course outlines and with local governments to provide opportunities for bidding on institutional and infrastructure projects. Training will include how to forecast economic cycles in the building industry and on the Art of Collaboration in business. We will work to develop Blue Ocean Strategies, base on local and international trends. We also plan to work closely with the local BIM software companies to ensure the students become skilled in the latest software products. The end goal will be to support the natural spinoff of new design and construction firms and to create new local companies as the marketplace expands.
