Our team has been involved in the design of several large scale (300-400 bed) hospitals across Ontario and we specialized in the development of numerous industry facility standards for the incorporation of sensitive Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologies within diagnostic Health Care environments.
Over the last few years, members of our team had the good
fortune to have been part of a Health Care think tank for an international
Fortune 500 company with 130,000 employees in 29 countries. Annual health
insurance premiums had become so large, that alternatives had to be considered,
including rethinking and developing their own health care systems. The group considered the present evolution of health care.
We promoted the idea of treating the cause rather than the symptoms, we
developed a wellness program to reduce typical poor health issues (and
absenteeism in the workplace), and we designed diagnostic centers to determine
an individual’s predisposition to future health issues complemented by a health
regime tailored to the predisposition.
We have worked with the science of Sthapatya Ved to design buildings which promotes health and we build spaces which cause health and support our capacity to thrive.
