Our  interest in the Ideal City starts with the study of the rational and moral objectives behind the planning concepts of the Renaissance, as well as the Garden City Movement and its environmental implications. 

Smart Cities (17 Apr 2015)

We are in the exploratory stage to develop a modern Ideal City concept for India. Prime Minister Narenda Modi has put forward a visionary idea allocating USD1.2B to create 100 Smart Cities and to develop satellite towns around existing cities in India.  

Smart Buildings (14 July 2015)

Smart buildings deliver useful building services that make occupants productive at the lowest cost and environmental impact over the building lifecycle.  They are connected and responsive to the smart power grid, and they interact with building operators and occupants to empower them with new levels of visibility and actionable information.

Public Theme Parks (Jan 2015)

The themepark, in its best form, is an Ideal City, where one can relax, eat, be entertained, and possibly be enlightened as envisioned in our team's  proposed Vedaland and  World of Wonder projects.  

Place Branding: Seri Alam Landscape Masterplan (16 Sept 2015)

As one moves through the anonymous "quickbuild" cities of Southeast Asia, it is hard to tell where one neighbourhood begins and ends. Our solution is "place branding", the process of image communication to a target market.

Ecotourism (Nov 2014)

We are researching new ways to move through nature's forests without damaging the undergrowth and turning rivers into "entertainment spines" traversed by "interpretation boats" which dock at canopy walks through "nature rooms". 

Container Buildings: Carehaven Orphanage (15 Sept 2015)

Large wood roof structure is used to provide weather protection for an live/learn orphanage organised in shipping containers on the edge of a Malaysia Jungle site.

Prefab Buildings (13 July 2015)

Most exemplified by the open sourced Wikihouse, 3D printing is today's  game changer, democratising the production of building prefabrication with its emphasis on quicker construction, lower labor costs, and less waste produced.

Bamboo Structures (2 July 2015)

Bamboo has a higher compressive strength than wood, brick or concrete and a tensile strength that rivals steel.  

Iskandar Idea City (10 Sept 2015)

We have a shared interest with Malaysia to ensure that this ideal city, planned with environmentally sustainable characteristics,  reaches its maximum potential of success.
