Problem/Opportunity
People and organizations in underdeveloped countries need housing. On a project in Nepal we had tried to construct an orphanage, although we could not secure funding. Meanwhile, there were a lot of unused building materials lying around the village (conc blocks, aluminum siding, fencing, etc) which people were offering for use in constructing the building. What if there was an opportunity to use these unused, forgotten materials to make housing?
Value Proposition
Create an App which consolidates creative designers and collates unused, local materials to make buildings to house community needs.
Underlying Magic
The site would bring together architects, designers and engineers and available local materials to create buildings for the community.
Business Model
One market fit is met and a creative community is developed, we will develop the idea for the commercial arena where people with excess building materials could use the site to solicit design proposals to build projects; we would request 1% of the total construction cost for providing owner consultant matching, and contract documents. Ten percent of the profits from this business will be used to create sustainablity for our projects in the underdeveloped countries.
